Uplift Youth Initiative
The Uplift Youth Initiative is a grassroots non-profit organisation on a mission to empower underprivileged children and youth across India through quality education. We believe that every child deserves access to knowledge and opportunities, regardless of their socioeconomic background. Our work extends beyond just teaching as well. We actively raise awareness about educational inequity through community outreach events, fundraising drives and advocacy campaigns. One thing we would like to focus on is teaching these children various programming languages, as we strongly believe that coding is the future. Teaching these children coding prepares them for the future, and that is one of our primary aims. By partnering with like-minded individuals, companies and organisations, we aim to create a nation where quality education is accessible to all children.
With the help of the Dream India organisation, we have already started teaching children in Bangalore and Tamil Nadu, and have begun empowering the youth. Through all of our research, we have seen that one of the primary problems of teaching these children is the language barrier. That is why at the Uplift Youth Initiative, we address this issue and collect volunteers from all backgrounds who speak a multitude of languages, solely to provide the children with the ability to speak freely. Our volunteers are the core of the Uplift Youth Initiative, and without them, none of this would be possible.

Hi! My name is Rishabh Girish, and I'm one of the Co-Founders of the Uplift Youth Initiative. I'm currently in the 12th grade at the Greenwood High International school, studying in the IBDP curriculum. Given that Kannada is my mother tongue, I thought Bangalore would be the best place to start this organisation. However, while there are various reasons as to why we wanted to start this, I'd say one of the primary reasons is that we wanted to see a brighter future for our underprivileged youth. Regardless of their situation, we want to help them become a part of a developed India through education.

Hi guys. I'm Ashwin Ganapathy and I am in the 12th grade in the Greenwood High International School. Recently, I have been teaching students from other schools computer science, and I thought that it would be a good idea to branch out to students who really need the education but are unable to get it. Consequently, I founded this organization with Rishabh with one goal in mind: by nurturing curiosity and fostering a love for learning, we shape the minds that will build a brighter future for our next generations.
